What we do
Support from other parents and carers
Our committee includes people with experience of deafness being identified in their children.
We know these experiences may be overwhelming and a lot to process.
If you would like to meet another parent/caregiver of a deaf child, please contact us directly. Someone can meet you for a coffee and we will do our best to connect you with someone in a similiar situation.

Meet Ups
We are planning on hosting events over the year for all deaf children and young people.
These meetings will aim to:
- Ensure deaf children have opportunities to meet and build relationships with others who wear hearing technology/use BSL.
- Create settings for parents/caregivers to meet and provide peer support.
- We recognise that deafness impacts hearing siblings, we would like hearing siblings to feel included and supported at every event.
- As a charity we would love to hear any suggestions of activities you would like to see run.
Offering a Supportive Space Online
We are running a moderated Facebook group which serves as a community for sharing advice, support and information sharing relating to deaf children and young people in the Grampian area.

Promoting BSL
British Sign Language (BSL) is used by many deaf children and their families.
This language promotes inclusivity for deaf children.
We would like to promote the use of BSL for the families who wish to introduce this.
